To be eligible for admission for vocational studies leading to an DVS , international students must meet one of the following requirements:
All foreign students must demonstrate a good knowledge of the language of instruction by taking a recognized language test. The results must show an intermediate level. Applicants educated in the language of instruction will be exempted.
Applicants educated in a language other than French or English must include the following documents:
a. Proof of a valid International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in each language skill (listening, reading, writing and speaking)
b. A Test d’Evaluation de Français (TEF) score equivalent to a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of at least 7 for each skill: at least 310 for speaking, 249 for listening, 207 for reading, and 310 for writing
The minimum acceptable score for admission to an DVS program in French or English is equivalent to B2 CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
An applicant’s file is incomplete until all the above documents have been received. The application must be legible; any document that is not clear will not be processed.
If you meet the requirements for admission and submit all required documents, your file can be assessed. Based on this assessment, you will receive a letter of acceptance within 7 to 10 days. This is a general process; file are assessed on a case-by-case basis for online, domestic and international students. It can take up to 48 business hours to receive a message.
After receiving your letter of admission, you will need to do the following:
